PURCHASE
Lamafer purchases ferrous and non-ferrous scrap from industrial waste, craft businesses, and separate collection streams. Delivery takes place at the facility in G. Keplero Street in Bolzano or through a dedicated collection service. Each material undergoes quality checks and certified electronic weighing, with prices indexed to official market listings, ensuring transparency and fairness in all transactions.
PROCESSING
The delivered metals are selected and processed within Lamafer’s facilities using modern equipment such as shears, presses, and shredders. This process produces materials that meet the standards required by the steel and metallurgical industries. Careful processing enhances aluminium and steel as secondary raw materials, ready to be reintroduced into production cycles.
SALES
The processed materials are marketed to qualified steel mills and foundries, which use them as secondary raw materials in their production processes. Thanks to rigorous selection and established relationships with the main industry operators, Lamafer ensures a steady supply of quality metals, contributing to reduced consumption of natural resources and strengthening the circular economy.

Lamafer makes its experience available to provide qualified environmental consultancy services, supporting companies and public bodies in defining operational solutions that comply with current regulations.
Thanks to the experience gained over decades of activity, we direct waste to authorized facilities—landfills, waste-to-energy plants, or recovery centers—selected according to safety and reliability criteria, ensuring management in line with the standards required by the environmental sector.
RESPONSIBILITY
Strict adherence to procedures is one of the fundamental principles of our operations. At every stage of the process, we share responsibility with the producer for the proper final disposal, ensuring compliance with all regional and national regulations.
Thanks to this process, Lamafer reintegrates approximately 80% of the processed material into the circular economy, significantly contributing to the reduction of environmental impact and the promotion of a more sustainable production model.
ENVIRONMENT
Waste recovery is a central element of Lamafer’s approach. At our facilities, materials undergo careful sorting by specialized personnel, with the aim of recovering as many fractions as possible and directing them to the most suitable production sites, such as paper mills, wood industries, steelworks, and foundries.
The company fleet operates throughout the regional territory and across Northern Italy, also providing services with cranes and ADR-compliant pickups. Complementing our operational activities, we offer technical support in preparing waste characterization sheets, loading and unloading registers, and the MUD, facilitating the management of administrative obligations.
PRODUCTS
To meet clients’ logistical needs, Lamafer provides rental services for skips, containers, press containers, baskets, and big bags, ensuring a timely service suitable for different production environments.
