WE LOVE THE FUTURE
THE BEGINNINGS
The company’s story is rooted in the Tomelini family’s tireless dedication to work. Giovanni (the company’s founder) and his wife Maria, both originally from Verona, moved to Bolzano in April 1956. With great humility and strong passion, they began their profession with a vision that was simple yet deeply human: to do honest work in order to raise their two children.
A PASSION PASSED DOWN
Giancarlo, the second-born, developed a passion for his father’s work already as a teenager. His father taught him the first fundamentals and increasingly involved him in the company’s life, until he became his right-hand man. With the tireless support of mother Maria, the Tomelini family created an increasingly efficient company that attracted the interest of many South Tyrolean companies, also thanks to the strong values that distinguish it: ethics, respect, professionalism, and seriousness.
THE NEW LAMAFER IS BORN
Giancarlo’s innovative ideas encouraged his father Gion to invest and strongly believe in the possibility of business growth—something that naturally also involves significant investments. The challenges were many, but the courage was even greater. The major turning point came in 1996 with the construction of the new headquarters in Via G. Keplero. Lamafer di Tomelini G. was born, managing the storage and disposal of waste and the scrap trade in just 1,200 m².
IDEAS THAT LOOK TO THE FUTURE.
FOR THE ENVIRONMENT, TOO.
Giancarlo’s vision followed clear and simple guidelines that anticipated concepts that today may seem almost taken for granted: reducing residual waste and environmental sustainability. Careful selection, proper disposal of waste/scrap, and identifying the final destination—together with continuous awareness-raising of the original waste producer—already became a primary objective of Lamafer’s management in those years.
A DREAM THAT CONTINUES
The Tomelini family continues to lead Lamafer with a strategic vision focused on innovation and efficiency. Since 2016, Erika’s entry into management has helped strengthen the company’s governance. The company is engaged in a broad reorganization and improvement process aimed at optimizing operations and ensuring maximum efficiency.
This path is built on a constant commitment to staff training, enhancing internal skills to successfully address industry challenges and promote an increasingly aware approach, oriented toward solid and responsible growth.
NEW CORPORATE STRUCTURE
In 2008, Lamafer became an srl (limited liability company). With the insight and professionalism gained over the years—along with strong entrepreneurial spirit and a deep sense of responsibility toward employees, customers, and suppliers—Giancarlo Tomelini leads Lamafer and its team of 40 people, continuously investing in innovation, technologies, facilities, equipment, and vehicles with the aim of making his mission concrete: to work with passion while fully respecting the social role the company plays through its activity.
TODAY
Today, with three production sites, the company is a benchmark in the sector, recognized for its reliability and professionalism.
