The digital FIR introduces new procedures for completing, signing, and storing data related to waste movements. Producers, transporters, and recipients are required to comply with specific procedures, especially for hazardous waste, whose data must be transmitted to RENTRI within defined deadlines. Some fundamental obligations, however, remain unchanged, such as the producer’s responsibilities and the timeframes for issuing the form. Proper document management is an integral part of waste management in compliance with current regulations.
